Elder A.L. Shaw, a native of Chicago, Illinois and since 1998, has served as
the Pastor of Davis Memorial Church of God in Christ in Nacogdoches.

Married to Sandy, his wife of 39 years, they have two children, Christina and
Cory, both who serve in ministry in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex.

After receiving his B.S. degree in Business Administration, MBA in Business
Management and is currently working to complete his doctoral degree later this
year in ministerial studies, Pastor Shaw was employed with the Union Pacific
Railroad where he traveled throughout the United States in various managerial
roles.

Pastor Shaw is actively engaged in building the ministry at the local, district and
national levels of the Church of God in Christ. He serves as the Dean of
Education for the Nacogdoches District and Special Administrative Assistant to
Bishop P.E.W. Bryant, Sr – General Board Member of the Church of God in
Christ and Executive Director of D.M. Ministries Community Development
Corporation whose organization sponsors over 75 after-school locations that
provide over 20,000 meals monthly to at-risk children throughout Texas.

Previously, Pastor Shaw served as the President of the State Young People
Willing Workers (YPWW) Department, Chairman, Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM)
for Texas South Central Jurisdiction and National Director of “Love Alive”
COGIC College Ministry. Currently, Pastor Shaw is an elected nominee of the
COGIC General Council of Pastor and Elders to serve on the Judiciary Board of
the International Church of God in Christ.

Since his appointment to serve as the Pastor of the Davis Memorial Church of
God in Christ, the ministry has experienced tremendous growth, both naturally
and spiritually and is one of the premier COGIC congregations in the Texas
South Central Jurisdiction.
